Description

This is the next piece in my Still life Botanicals series.

In this series I study the colours and shapes of flowers I love (mostly) Australian flora.

I attempt to combine different flower species that are either annuals, perennials or biennials in a combination that is complementary to each other.

I will either paint these combinations in a vase, posy, bouquet or in a compostion across the canvas.

This is an ongoing series as my love for flowers,  like most of us is ongoing. I will explore different species that I have not painted to date, combining them with favourited I am familiar with and have painted before.

I will also be experiementing with light, shadows and reflections.
